AmpedKids founder April Rooks has personally experienced the impact of music through her own life and witnessed it in the lives of the children she has taught piano and voice. Her vision is to bring a shift into our communities through investing in our children who have been abused, neglected, and are currently in the foster care system and under the care of a CASA volunteer.
April Rooks is a singer/songwriter, worship leader and owner of April Rooks Entertainment providing live music entertainment for weddings and private events. As a vocal and piano instructor for twenty five years. April has helped children and adults enhance their talents, build self-confidence, and become successful in their music endeavors.
In 2018, April founded the Amped Kids Foundation with a vision for enriching the lives of foster children in Georgia through private music instruction, band scholarships, songwriting clinics, and other music programs.
